Have you made bad financial decisions that have put you in a rut? Do you have children and want to save for their future, but can’t pay off enough debt to save money? Maybe you want to purchase a house but you are not able to save for your downpayment.

At the time, you felt your financial decisions were valid and now your credit is suffering. These situations can be financially stressful, depressing and may even cause you to lose hope. I know exactly how you feel, because I was once in your shoes. I had made some not so smart decisions that caused my credit score to fall and my interest rates to increase.

1 in 50 households carries more than $20,000 in credit card debt.

Many times our relationship with money is an impulsive one, we decide that there is a need and we go out and satisfy that need by spending. According to Business Insider, Thirty-three percent of debt is revolving credit (credit cards) and sixty-seven percent is loans. As a matter of fact, 1 in 50 households carry more than $20,000 in credit card debt. That’s why I created Windsong Financial Coaching. I want to help you learn how to make better financial decisions and break the cycle of creating excessive debt. I want to show you a step by step process that will set you on your path to taking a L.E.A.P into Financial Fitness.

Testimonials

I had just moved back to my home state and needed to make some adjustments in my life. Felicia sat down with me to review my financials and helped me realize that I was using more credit then I could afford to pay. My credit cards and my credit score were suffering. She helped me create a plan to attack my debt and a vision for the future that included saving and living within my means. Now I have a credit score that I can be proud of!

I met Felicia in 2011 when we began working together. We talked about saving money, and establishing an emergency fund. Seeing the passion in her led me to realize that I needed to pay closer attention to my credit and my and family’s overall financial health. Although I thought I had a handle on my credit (because I at least paid everything on time), I realized that there was a lot more I could be doing to put us in a better financial position. I requested my credit report from all three bureaus and went to work cleaning up erroneously reported items. This lead to a credit score increase from the high 600’s to the mid 720’s. We had our first $1,000 emergency fund but we needed more just in case the unthinkable happened. Felicia’s passion for overall financial health has truly been a catalyst for getting me and my family on a better financial track.

Felicia was requested by my church to help the finance committee create a feasible budget. After meeting with the committee to discuss our vision, she not only helped us with the budget, she submitted several recommendations. We are implementing the recommendations. We are looking forward to being more organized at handling financial requests, paying vendors and reconciling the bank account. Thanks to Felicia we are well on our way to becoming financially fit.
